The French Government is demanding answers from Eurostar as Paris - London services continue to be disrupted by bad weather. A government spokesperson called the company’s treatment of passengers ‘unacceptable’ and demanded that services be resumed. Tens of thousands of travellers have been left stranded.
The French have taken a harder line towards the company than the British. Guillaume Pepy, the chairman of Eurostar and SNCF was summoned to the Elysee Palace to explain to President Nicolas Sarkozy, the reasons for the disruption.
